Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how worthIt ("we," "our," or "us") handles user data when you use our mobile application (the "App").
We are fully committed to protecting your privacy. The personal data you input into the App is stored strictly locally on your device. To help us improve the App's stability and performance, we use limited, industry-standard third-party analytics services as described below.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Local Storage of Your Personal Data
Our core principle is to keep your inventory data private:
- Your Inputted Data: All information you manually input about your personal belongings—including item names, purchase dates, purchase prices, categories, custom notes, and usage records—is processed and saved exclusively within your device's local storage.
- No Server-Side Storage: We do not collect, harvest, or store your personal inventory details on any external servers.
- No Accounts Required: The App does not require you to create an account, register, or provide any personal identification (such as your name, email address, or phone number) to use its features.
- Data Deletion: You have complete control over your data. You can permanently delete your recorded items and logs at any time by clearing the App's cache/data via your Android system settings or by simply uninstalling the App.
2. Third-Party Analytics (Firebase)
To help us understand how the App is used, troubleshoot bugs, and improve user experience, we integrate Google Analytics for Firebase (provided by Google LLC).
A. What Data Firebase May Collect Automatically:
Depending on your device configuration, Firebase may automatically collect certain non-identifying data, including:
- Device information (e.g., device model, operating system version, brand).
- App performance data and crash logs (to help us fix app crashes).
- Basic app usage activity (e.g., sessions, screen views, and interactions with app features).
- Mobile advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID / AAID).
B. Purpose of Collection:
This data is used solely to analyze general user trends, monitor application health, and guide future feature development. Firebase does not have access to the specific details of the personal items you record in the App.
3. Data Sharing and Security
- No Selling of Data: We do not sell, rent, or share any collected data with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties except for Google Firebase to assist us in analyzing app performance.
- Security: Because your primary inventory data is stored locally on your mobile device, we recommend securing your phone with a passcode, PIN, or biometric lock to prevent unauthorized access.
4. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 3. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly.
